Imagine not being able to go outside, leave your house or do anything a normal teenager does. That’s exactly what happens in the book ‘Everything, Everything’ by Nicola Yoon.
It follows the story of Madeline Whittier, she's allergic to almost everything in the world, which is why she hasn't done most everyday teenage activities like going to school with other kids. She stays in her house everyday with her mom, her nurse Carla and occasionally her tutor.
A new family moves in next door and they have a son named Olly who is the same age as Madeline. The two make eye contact as he arrives. Their relationship grows with writing on windows to IMing. They're falling in love, but it’s an impossible relationship and they know it.
This is by far the greatest book I’ve read all year! It’s the kind of book that I could not put down, my eyes were glued to the pages for four days straight!
I would recommend this YA novel to anyone looking for a unique book to read. It’s nothing like any book I’ve ever read before.
I hope this review makes you want to read Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon!
